The AP & AR Lead will be a key player in supporting the financial health of our organization by managing the inflow and outflow of funds and ensuring they comply with financial regulations and best practices. You'll also have the authority to approve financial processing workflows and manage payments.

This role is a great fit for someone with a background in senior accounts or as an accounts officer. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of financial systems, processes, and controls and is a problem solver who can work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.

Deliverables

  • Approving accounts payable/receivable transactions to ensure payments are made on time.
  • Leading the administration and reconciliation for purchase cards and expense claims, making sure all financial policies are followed.
  • Analyzing existing workflows and issues to implement changes that streamline operations and reduce errors.
  • Assisting with audits by providing relevant documentation and explanations.
  • Mentoring and coaching two direct reports.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a senior accounts or accounts officer role.
  • Essential experience with FMIS and expense claim systems; experience with Technology One is a plus.
  • Experience or a strong desire to support and mentor others.
  • Previous people management experience is preferred, but not essential.
